Vitality Center

Sunnyside Communities recently opened the doors to the Broaddus Vitality Center placing wellness at the center of their Harrisonburg campus.  This stand-alone facility features a lap pool, spa, locker rooms, indoor walking track, group fitness studio, and an open gym with a wide variety of fitness equipment to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.

Pye Interiors worked closely with a Resident Committee and Mather Architects to develop a color palette of interior materials reflective of the surrounding mountains and picturesque landscapes. The striking wood beam structure is accented with contemporary lighting and suspended graphic banners in bold colors infuse the space with energy and motivation.  To further connect this interior to its lush green surroundings, photo panels of wildflowers and groupings of indoor plants encircle the walking track.  To enhance wayfinding, special attention was given to the custom signage package.
